Our Philosophy
I have been out of the baby mix for a while. When our son Todd was born in 1996, I found a sling at a thrift shop, he slept in the bed (it was a secret!), and I ordered cloth diapers off the new *internet* and hoped for the best. When we started preparing for number two over a decade later, I found out that the things that just felt natural to me back then have exploded into a huge market that has choosing how you will wear your baby right up there with choosing your car seat.

While it is wonderful to see natural products and intuitive parenting on the rise - the choices are overwhelming. Really all she needs is a mommy to feed, rock and listen to her, and a daddy to protect her and keep her mommy sane. All the rest of it (yes, even diapers!) is optional.

I will never tell you there is a product you cannot live without. It simply is not true. But, I think the products we carry will make your life easier, and they are a lot of fun. Watching a baby learn and discover day by day is like winning the lottery over and over again.

The products on Simple Baby are just that: Simple. Not a lot of needless gadgets, no blinking lights, and no batteries required. We prefer things that are made of natural materials when practical and that stimulate imagination.

Many of our products are made by Work-At-Home-Moms (and dads!). We support and love our local WAHMs and midwives too - if you are in the DFW area, check out our friends for doulas, midwives, the Tarrant County Birth Network and more.

Please give me your feedback out on our products - I know that what works for one mommy is not always just perfect for another. I want to hear from you!

Simple Baby

P.S. Our "lifestyle" has plenty of acronyms, AP, CD, EC, BLW, EBF - just to name a few. Any and all of these parenting choices can be part time and work beautifully in homes with single parents, two parents, working parents, adoptive parents and grandparents. Developing an intuitive bond with your baby is what is the most important thing. Curious about our choices? Check out my blog page as it develops. We love to talk about our baby!
